@bubblepopmei - I always had the same problem. I'd see it in books and adore it and want one but felt it would be weird to ask to see in game because of who I gamed with and how they'd react to something like that showing up. Still it has always been one of my favorite items and when I saw this pic I knew I had a good way to introduce it to the Kybele Collection. :)
That's one of the perks to being a DM, especially in a party with members constantly on the lookout for Girdles of Giant Strength. If they ever got upset over it I could just ask, "So, your character isn't happy with the change? No? Well, that makes it an effective curse then, doesn't it? In the future, you may want to identify items before you use them. Remember the spear?"
